Nature’s fat molecules uniquely pass through the stomach intact enabling absorption in the intestines. Clinical trials show that this Liposomal technology allows hemp to be absorbed in very high levels in the blood. Without this absorption, the hemp benefits are minimal. This explains why so many other hemp products have minimal benefits or why they may seem to work at first, but then have no impact the next time.

FAQS

1. What Is Hemp Oil?

Hemp oil is extracted from the stalks, leaves and flowers of industrial hemp plants. The hemp plant, cannabis sativa, has powerful healing, non-psychoactive constituents, known as cannabinoids or hemp extract, that are capable of restoring balance and harmony throughout the body without any known side-effects. It was discovered that this amazing plant can restore the body to inner balance, or homeostasis, through a newly discovered system in the body called the endocannabinoid system.

2. What is CBD?

Scientists have identified close to 500 phytochemicals in hemp plants. Hundreds of them are terpenoids. Terpenoids are the compounds that give fruits, flowers and herbs many of their desirable aromas, flavors and other special properties. Cannabinoids are a sub-class of terpenoids.

The name cannabidiol, or CBD, can also be referred to as hemp extract. hemp extract is just one of the 144 oils that can be found in the cannabis plant. Hemp extract is found in the highest percentage of all the cannabinoid compounds contained in the cannabis plant. While cannabis also contains other compounds such as other terpenes, vitamins, minerals, proteins and chlorophyll, the cannabinoids are the most important.

CBD (Cannabidiol) or hemp extract is the prominent, non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in hemp. There are over 80 different cannabinoids found in hemp. It is commonly used for its therapeutic properties.

This is one of the many reasons hemp stands alone in the plant kingdom as a powerful source of nutrition without equal.

3. What’s the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Marijuana and hemp are different varieties of the same plant species ‘cannabis sativa ‘. Hemp is the male variety of the plant and marijuana is the female variety. The primary difference between the two varieties is the presence or absence of the psychoactive element called THC. Marijuana is cultivated to contain a high percentage of THC (the psychoactive component), whereas hemp is cultivated to be devoid of THC and as such has no ability to create a “high” by its consumption. Legally, hemp must be tested to contain less than 0.3% THC to be classified as hemp and as such is classified as a supplement and legal in all 50 States.

4. What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)?

The ECS is possibly the single most important system within our entire body. It is responsible for maintaining a process called homeostasis (balance). Basically, if our ECS were out-of-whack, the health of our entire body would be at risk. A leading US cardiologist has called the discovery of the endocannabinoid system the most important medical/scientific discovery in history. A discovery made just over 30 years ago and, according to this cardiologist, is and will be responsible for saving more lives than any current medicine or surgical procedure.

5. Is a standard hemp seed oil the same as a high-CBD hemp extract?

Definitely not. Standard hemp oil, which can be found very cheaply at a grocery store, is a much different product than our full spectrum hemp extracts (not from seed). Standard hemp oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds, whereas our hemp extract is a full plant extraction with many components not typically found in the seeds. Hemp seed oil is considered to be a great nutritive food, but it doesn’t have the naturally occurring terpenes, cannabinoids and other components that our extracts do have.

6. Is there a difference in hemp plants depending on how and where it is grown?

Absolutely –like any other plant, it highly depends on the quality of the soil it is grown in and whether there are any pesticides, herbicides or fungicides used in the growing process which negatively affects the nutritional integrity of the hemp plant. The process to extract the CBD from the hemp plant is also critical to ensure the nutritional integrity of the hemp extract.

At OptiVida Health, we cultivate only top-quality strains of hemp, organically grown and naturally processed to exceed industry standards. OptiVida Hemp produces only the highest-quality and maximum purity cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp products.

7. What separates OptiVida Hemp from other many hemp products available?

Besides sourcing the only USA organically grown premium hemp and processing naturally without the use of solvents, alcohol, high heat and/or high pressure, the primary difference and advantage of OptiVida Hemp is the delivery system which ensures up to 10 times the absorption by the body over other forms of hemp extract. By using a proprietary/patented delivery system called HempSorb®, OptiVida Hemp gets about 60% absorption of its hemp extract (CBD) by the body as compared to a normal of 6% of most other hemp extract products. As such one would have to buy 10 times as many bottles/capsules of equal CBD potency to get the same benefit as one 2 oz. bottle of 300 mg of OptiVida Hemp.
